Shipping and Returns
How a piece reaches you, and what happens in the rare case that it should come back. Read this before you buy: agreeing to it is a condition of purchase, and you will be asked to confirm that you have.
Shipping
Every piece is packed by hand and dispatched within five working days, insured for its full value for the whole of its journey. You receive the tracking as soon as it leaves us.
We ship to the address given at checkout, and to no other. That is not administrative stubbornness: it is the condition on which both of us are protected. If the address is wrong, tell us before we dispatch — afterwards it cannot be changed.
Customs duties, import taxes and any charge levied on arrival are the buyer’s. We declare the value we were paid.
Returns are not automatic
We would rather say so plainly than bury it further down.
Each object is photographed in detail and described as it is — including its wear, its restorations, and what we do not know about it. We answer questions before a sale precisely so that there are none after one. Ask us anything, at any length, before you buy.
A change of mind is not a fault in the object. These are singular things, held before they were sent, and they are not sold on approval.
If a piece is not as described
Write to contact@gauguini.com within seven days of delivery, with photographs and an explanation of what differs from the description.
We consider each request on what it shows. Where we agree, we authorise the return in writing — and only then.
- Return carriage and insurance are at the sender’s expense.
- The piece must travel insured for its full value, packed as it arrived.
- A piece sent back without our written agreement will be refused on delivery.
- Once received and examined, the price is refunded by the means it was paid. Original shipping is not refunded.
